OmniNet subscriptions offer several options for "Remote Access" to the office/home through the OBR.
Multi-Site (OmniLink) VPN
3rd Party VPNs
Multi-site VPN (OBR to OBR)
Individual deployments at multiple sites are connected together allowing multiple customer office locations to access each other all while simultaneously leveraging individual office OmniShield settings.
Active OBR's at all sites.
Unique subnets at all sites.
OmniShield Lite with OmniWAN, OmniShield Standard/Pro
The multi-site deployment solution is intended for customers with multiple physical offices. Deployments at new sites can connect to the existing subscription by individually connecting to the same OmniNet datacenter the original subscription is connected to, and allows for 2 or more offices to connect their networks to each other. Outbound internet access continues to be protected by our OmniShield and each OBR is controlled by its individual configuration settings in the portal.
Purchase a subscription for the main office, and a subscription for a home office. These would allow for a multi-site deployment scenario.
After purchasing a new OBR, configure desired zones/networks (they cannot overlap subnets) and contact Support. Let them know which 2 subscriptions you would like to be tied together in a multi-site. If only certain subnets/ranges are required, please be specific.
SSL-VPN (All OmniWAN subscription types)
If you are looking for an on-demand connection back to the office while traveling, and have OmniNet at the main office, you can simply connect to the office with this on-demand remote access method.
Currently a split-tunnel VPN client can be downloaded for Windows and MAC devices, configured, and launched for on-demand connection that establishes a full SSL-VPN tunnel back to the office.
Intended to allow machines outside the office to access in-office resources that are themselves connected to the OmniNet network.
Launch the SSL-VPN client and establish a connection to the office. Launch remote desktop application and connect to an internal desktop or server using its static IP in the office that is currently protected by OmniShield. Browse to an internal only web server.
Third Party VPNs - IPsec
Connect to 3rd party Firewalls (Cisco, Sophos, Fortigate, etc) over IPsec, including Azure, AWS, or other IPSec capable devices.
Standard or above subscription
IPSec tunnel setup on 3rd party side
Access other sites or services that are not behind an OBR from behind the OBR.
Connect to fileshares, remote VMs, etc on Azure or AWS as if they are onsite.
Connect to other branch offices not yet on an OBR.
